About Me and Such

A Quick History
I was born, I ate, slept, and then I found myself in Rangely, but wandered to Aurora, CO.

A not-as-quick History
Ever since a trip to New York City in the early 2000s, I have had a desire to travel and see new things, but more importantly, meet new people and get to know them. Thankfully I was able to partake in a foreign exchange and live in Zwolle, Netherlands for five months. While there I managed to travel to many countries, but definitely missed a few. I had to come back and finish my Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Management and International relations, but when I graduated in 2008, nobody was hiring. I did what any unemployed, horribly indebted, fresh out the higher education factory of UW-Platteville, I went on a road trip. It was from that road trip, I scheduled my own interview for an Outdoor Recreations job at CNCC. I interviewed with a Jim D. and Tresa E.. The position changed to include housing responsibilities as well as outdoor recreations. From that job, I was promoted to Director of Housing and Outdoor Recreation, then promoted to Project Manager and Outdoor Recreations so I could finish my Master of Science degree program in Project Management online. Then lastly, I was promoted again to the single title of Facilities Director. I have had three different offices, four different phone numbers, and a lot of work ahead of me.

After leaving CNCC I…

Put 2100 miles on my motorcycle, went to Sturgis with my Father, camped with him and his friend for a week and a half while riding our motorcycles through Colorado, hiked a portion of the Superior hiking trail, failed at one relationship (sorry Bree), destroyed a massive fence, wrecked and replaced landscaping, hiked 500 miles for the complete Colorado trail,  corssed the great plains 4 times, and was hired as the Interim Vice-President of CNCC.

I spent 6 months as the Interim Vice-President of CNCC and loved it, but things didn’t go as I had planned… I stayed on as Cheif Financial Officer for the college and worked towards phasing myself out. The new Vice-President has returned to Facilities, but my contract is currently closed as of December 23, 2016.

I spent three months unemployed, but did make it to Peru! (Sorry those pages are crap.  I’ll fix this.. maybe)  After a couple morning church visits, I heard from a friend, Ben, who informed me of an opening at Pueblo Community College.  A couple days later, I became their Interim Facilities Director.  I did not stay there.  I applied to and got a job at Aurora Community College and have been there ever since.
